Need Funding For Your Creative Projects? Try Kickstarter!

Go to KICKSTARTER. A lot of entrepreneurs, creatives, artists, filmmakers, musicians already know about this great resource. If you need any type of funding that will get your project off the ground, a good place to start is kickstarter.com. Post a project and wait for funding. kickstarter is also a great place to find and fund cool projects.

Every project creator sets their project’s funding goal and deadline. If people like the project, they can pledge money to make it happen. If the project succeeds in reaching its funding goal, all backers’ credit cards are charged when time expires. A creator can collect their funds only if they reach their funding goal by the deadline. If they don’t reach the goal in time, no money changes hands.

Kickstarter put this rule in place to minimize risk. If a project can’t generate enough funds and can’t deliver to current backers when creators didn’t raise enough money, it can be tough on everyone. Creators can always try again at a later time.

Connect with bloggers, influencers and content creators in your niche. Reach out to them on Twitter, and Facebook when you start your crowdfunding campaign. Ask them to share or retweet your campaign link. The reaching out part (marketing strategy) should start way before you actually post a crowdfunding campaign. Build relationships up so that you can reach out when you start your project. Social Media marketing is your best friend!
